HaithamLaftaSaadon, Professor in the Department of Physics/College of Science at Basrah University, Iraq. He obtained his Ph.Din Laser Applicationsfrom University of Athens, Greece with a collaboration of University of Metz, France at the laboratory of MateriauxOptiques, Photoniqueset Systems, 2004. He obtained a Postdoctoral positionfrom Athens University, Greece with financial support from international program in Brussels, Belgium,2005, 2006. His research interests are laser applications, nonlinear optics,electro-optical effect,photonicand nano-photonic devices, optical information security, laser tweezers for medical applications. In these fields, he has published articles in peer-reviewed journals and supervised on Masters and PhD students.
